Bacterial microbiome in the development and treatment of Inflammatory Bowel Diseases. I am particularly interested in the development of pathobionts and the gut microenvironment. In addition, how the commensalism microbes interact with the immune system in generating a level of tolerance and how this is affected in individuals with IBD.
